NEPUTA FESTIVALS
All of local people in Tsugaru such Hirosaki, Hirakawa and Kuroishi
are completely crazy about Neputa festival in summer.
Neputa features enormous fan-shaped lantern floats with large
painted screens that depict gods, historical or mythical warrior
and figures in front and elegant women in back. It is illuminated
from within when paraded through the streets of downtown
accompanied by large 'taiko' drum, 'fue' flute players and many
participants shouting 'Yaaa-ya, doooo!
Festival sound make your heart beaten and people's passion and
feelings for the festival will touch your heart.
Join in parade of Neputa
･Guests of RESIDENCE INN @Tsugaru-Hirakawa are entitled to join
one of Neputa festivals as a participant.

・Hirosaki Neputa Festival August 1 - 6 from 7.00 pm
August 7 from 10.00 pm
・Hirakawa Neputa Festival August 2 - 3 from 6.30 pm
・Kuroishi Neputa Festival July 30 & August 2 from 6.30 pm

・5 mins. ride on free pick up car or 5 mins. walk to Hiraka station.
・13 mins. ride on Konan Railways from Hiraka to Hirosaki station.
All Neputas parade through the street in front of Hirosaki station.
to Hirakawa
・5 mins. ride on free pick up car or 5 mins. walk to Hiraka station.
All Neputas parade through the street from City Hall toHiraka
station. City hall is 5 mins. walk from Hiraka station or 10 mins.
